Daily Acts of Faith: Empower Your Journey

I believe life is a personal journey of faith and process of empowerment.

Simply stated, faith is our ability to move forward with positive expectancy. What is positive expectancy? It’s belief and trust in a favorable outcome.

Faith enables us to dream big, set goals, and trust the process of bringing our dreams to life. It also enables us to stay open to more than one outcome. If things don’t go as planned, trust (a key component of faith) enables us to ask “What did I learn?”, “How did I grow?” and use the lessons learned to keep moving forward in faith that you are being guided to your highest good.

Staying focused on your goals and staying open to more than one outcome is not easy. It requires trust in the process and guidance from within. I believe we cultivate and strengthen our connection to inner guidance through a daily practice of silence. I invite you to read my post Give yourself the gift of silence if you would like to learn more.

So, what are daily acts of faith? They are actions that you take on a daily basis to stretch and grow out of your “comfort” zone. Acts of faith are rooted in a vision of a desired future state.

Suggestion to get started:

  • Think about one area of your life where you feel stuck or discouraged.
  • Envision a desired future state and write it down or find an image that captures what you envision. Give yourself permission to dream BIG.
  • Create a powerful affirmation that aligns with your future state and work with it on a daily basis. I invite you to watch my video on The Power of Affirmations (Video) if you would like to learn more.
  • Each day, for the next 30 days, commit (in writing) to taking three actions to move toward your desired future state.
  • Hold yourself accountable by reviewing your commitments and actions at the end of each day.
  • Create time and space to listen to inner guidance.
  • Assess your progress using this process in 30 days.

Reflect on Your Year: The Power of Gratitude

It’s been a tough year, to say the least. It may be difficult to see your blessings through all of the challenges, but they are there. If you keep a gratitude journal, take time to review and reflect on what you have captured over the course of the year. If you don’t have a gratitude journal, take time to reflect on the past year and note whatever you consider to be gifts, blessings, or life lessons.

Questions for reflection:

  • Who or what was my greatest blessing?
  • What did I learn? How did I grow?
  • How was I a blessing to others?

Gratitude is the key to creating a joy-filled and abundant life. Giving thanks for everything that has been provided to you will increase your appreciation for your life and help you cultivate a mindset of abundance that will take root and blossom in your life.

Wishing you peace and abundant blessings.

Transform Doubts into Actionable Steps for Success

Forward

Let’s shift & move forward.

Replace “I doubt it will happen” with “I believe it will happen”

Beliefs are powerful things; they are the vehicles through which we create our lives and filter our experiences. Whatever we believe to be true is the reality from which we create our lives. Fear and doubt are a part of life, but they don’t have to rule your life. The best way to move through fear and doubt is to take action.

Exercise: Today’s challenge is an invitation to renew your belief in your ability to succeed. Identify something that you have been putting off because you doubt it will actually happen.

💥 Envision a desired future state and write it down and/or find an image that captures what you envision. Keep your vision in a place where you can see it on a regular basis.

💥 Outline the steps needed to bring your vision to life as well as a date for completion.

💥 Create an affirmation that aligns with your future state and work with it on a daily basis.

💥 Each day, commit to taking three actions to move toward your desired future state.

💥 Hold yourself accountable by assessing your commitment to action at the end of each day.

Don’t wait until you are “ready” to begin. Start small, gain momentum, and bring your vision to life. Plan and prepare for it or something better to happen. Believe in your ability to succeed.

Shift Your Mindset From ‘It’s Too Hard’ to ‘I Welcome a Challenge’

Forward

Let’s shift & move forward.

Replace “It’s too hard” with “I welcome a challenge”

Our thoughts are powerful. They shape our reality each and every day. If we think something is too hard to accomplish, it will, in fact, be too hard to accomplish. When faced with something that appears be “too hard” to accomplish, shift how you are thinking about it. One of the ways to shift your thinking is to declare “I welcome a challenge”. Welcoming a challenge activates your creativity and problem-solving skills.

Exercise: Think about something in your life that feels too hard to start or take the next step. Declare “I welcome a challenge”. Welcome [whatever it is] as an opportunity to learn and grow. Identify at least one thing you can do today and take action.

Shift Your Mindset: From ‘Have to’ to ‘Choose to’

Forward

Let’s shift & move forward.

Replace “I have to” with “I choose to”.

The power to choose what is best for our own lives is our greatest power and means of changing/transforming our lives. If your life is filled with “I have to”, it’s time to shift how you think about what you are doing or stop doing things that don’t enrich your life.

Exercise: Write a list of things that you are doing that are draining your energy and/or feel like obligations in a less than positive way. Reflect on why you are doing the things on your list. What is the benefit to you or those you love/care about? Write the benefit next to each activity that you have listed. It will serve as a reminder of why certain activities are important and why you are choosing to do them, even if they are challenging. If there is no real benefit to you or those you love/care about, consider eliminating it.

What will you shift or eliminate today?

Shift Your Mindset From ‘I can’t’ to ‘I can’

Forward

Let’s shift and move forward.

Replace ‘I can’t’ with ‘I can’.

In order to move forward, we have to believe that we can. Stay open to possibility by shifting your thinking from ‘I can’t’ to ‘I can’.

Exercise: Write a list of wants/needs/desires that ‘I can’t’ thinking is keeping you from pursuing. Pick one of the things on your list to work on this week. Write down all the reasons you can’t do it and then tear it up. Write an affirmative statement ‘I can [insert whatever you picked]’ three times and commit to taking action, starting today. Post your affirmation everywhere to remind you that you CAN! Celebrate your accomplishments along the way.

Let the shift begin!

Consciously Create Your Day: Intentional Choices to Shape How You Feel Each Day

What you do on a daily basis matters. Days become weeks, weeks become years, and years become a lifetime.

We are given the gift of twenty-four hours each day to spend as we choose. It is a gift that we treasure through the choices that we make. In the busyness of life it’s easy to operate on autopilot and forget that we create our lives one day at a time.

This week, I invite you to set aside 15 minutes in the morning to begin each day with the end in mind. Ask yourself the following questions:

  • How do I want to feel at the end of the day? Write down three feelings you would like to have at the end of the day.
  • What do I need to ‘start’, ‘stop’, or ‘do more of’ so that I can feel (whatever you identified)?

Set aside 15 minutes in the evening to check in with yourself. How are you feeling? Is there a gap between how you want to feel and how you are actually feeling? What will you ‘start’, ‘stop’, or ‘do more of’ the following day.

At the end of the week, evaluate your progress. Be patient with yourself and trust the process.

Need additional support? “Bring it All Together on a Daily Basis” (Chapter 6, Be True to You) is designed to help you consciously create your day.

Thank you for pausing here. If my writing has offered meaningful insight or sparked a shift in you, I would be honored to hear what stayed with you.

Make Peace with the Past: Healing Old Wounds to Live Fully Today

Making peace with the past is a lot easier said than done. It requires a commitment to facing things that may be painful, regretful, or less than desirable so that we can live fully in the present.

The past can be a great teacher if we allow it to be or it can hold us back. If you look back on your past and feel emotionally charged with sadness, anger, or regret, it is a clue that there are parts of it that are unprocessed. Explore what you are feeling about your past and commit to working through what needs to be processed and healed. Do what’s right for you so that you can be fully present and not living in the past.

Questions for reflection:

  • What in my past is keeping me from living fully in the present?
  • Who or what do I need to forgive?
  • What steps can I take today to make peace with the past?

Thank you for pausing here. If my writing has offered meaningful insight or sparked a shift in you, I would be honored to hear what stayed with you.

Reclaim Your Power: The Impact of Daily Choices

Your ability to choose what is best for your life is your greatest power and means of evolving your life (i.e., relationships, finances, career, etc.)

In the busyness of life, it’s easy to operate on autopilot and forget that we create our lives one choice at a time and we can make a different choice, at any given moment, to change our lives. Sometimes we don’t realize we’re on autopilot until we suddenly ‘wake up’ and realize we’re not making progress on the things that matter the most to our lives. Busyness can sometimes give us a false sense of progress.

Indecision is also a choice that keeps us from making progress. Indecision begins with small things and can become a way of life. Do you find yourself saying “I don’t know”, “I don’t care”, “It doesn’t matter”, or “You decide” frequently? If so, begin to reclaim your power by making decisions for your life, even in small matters.

If this topic resonates with you, I invite you to create awareness of the choices that you are making on a daily basis and the impact they are having on your life. Keep in mind, not making a choice is also a choice.

Questions for Daily Reflection:

  • What choices did I make today? Why? Were they empowering or disempowering choices?

Empowering choices are in alignment with your values/what is most important to you, affirm your sense of worth and personal freedom, boost your energy, and help you move forward. Disempowering choices are the opposite. They may or may not be conscious.

Life is all about choices. Use the power of reflection to bring awareness to what you are choosing for your life.

Tapping into Your Heart’s Wisdom: Your Inner Compass to Truth, Values, and Guidance

Are you aware that you have a built-in guidance system? Your heart is your spiritual core, center of truth, inner compass, and guide to living your highest potential. You invoke the wisdom of your heart when you ask yourself questions like “What is true for me?”, “What do I value most in life?”, “What is best for my life?”. Your heart intuitively knows the answer.

We are all gifted with intuition; however, we are not always tuned into it or open to receive it. Your intuition is a rich source of information that is always available to you. There are many ways to tap into your intuition. Here are a few:

  • Questions: Ask your wise self a question and listen for an answer. You may receive an answer immediately or it may take a few days or even weeks. Be patient and trust the process.
  • Silence: Give yourself the gift of silence on a daily basis so that you can hear your inner guidance.
  • Keep a journal: Put your thoughts on paper without filtering what you are writing. Review and reflect on what you have captured in your journal on a regular basis.
  • Take action: Taking action on guidance opens the door for you to receive more.

A new way of living begins when you choose to live from the heart and guidance within. I’ve included a link to my Living from the Inside Out video for your reference.

Thank you for pausing here. If my writing has offered meaningful insight or sparked a shift in you, I would be honored to hear what stayed with you.
