Living from the Inside Out
Intentional living is the practice of listening inwardly, choosing from what is true, and shaping daily life from what matters. It’s about living from your core and choosing what is best for your life so your days reflect what matters. When I speak of core, I am speaking about your spiritual center of truth, the essential part of you that is steady, whole, and always present. From your core, what’s best for your life is clear and reflective of what is true now.
This orientation has shaped my life for years. It’s the ground from which I support people as they navigate change, make decisions, and shape lives that feel aligned with who they are.
What Intentional Living Looks Like in Daily Life
Intentional living shows up in practical ways:
✦ Naming what matters before making a decision
✦ Choosing actions that match your values
✦ Noticing when what you value and how you’re living feel out of alignment
✦ Making adjustments that feel true rather than reactive
✦ Creating space for reflection as part of your day
✦ Allowing your life to evolve as you evolve
Intentional living is the practice of living in a way that reflects what is true.
What Alignment Feels Like
Alignment is experienced as:
✦ steadiness
✦ clarity
✦ a sense of “this fits”
✦ less internal friction
✦ decisions that feel clean
✦ movement that feels natural rather than forced
Alignment feels like living from what is true.
What Brings People to This Work
People come to this practice when they are:
✦ navigating change
✦ clarifying what’s next
✦ noticing misalignment between what they value and how they’re living
✦ wanting to make decisions from a steadier place
✦ carrying ideas or commitments that no longer fit
✦ ready to shape their life from what is true now
These moments create the opening for this practice.
Shifts People Experience
The shifts from intentional living happen from the inside out:
✦ clearer decisions
✦ steadier leadership
✦ more aligned choices
✦ less internal noise
✦ a stronger sense of direction
✦ a daily life that reflects what matters
People begin shaping their days from the inside out, and their choices, work, and relationships follow.
The Frameworks Behind the Practice
During an intentional pause from corporate leadership, I wrote Be True to You: A Practical Guide to Pursuing an Authentic Path, a book rooted in my own personal evolution. The frameworks in the book, and the ones that have shaped my life and work for years, form the foundation of this practice.
They help people:
✦ clarify what’s true
✦ identify what matters
✦ make choices that reflect what’s true
✦ create daily practices that support intentional living
These frameworks are practical, lived, and adaptable. They meet people where they are.
What This Practice Is
Intentional living as a practice is:
✦ reflective
✦ practical
✦ grounded
✦ aligned with daily life
✦ shaped by lived experience
It’s not a program or set of steps. It’s a practice that helps people discover what is true for them and shape their lives in ways that reflect what is true.
Intentional living is an ongoing practice of shaping your life from the inside out.
