Happiness is an inside job

Happiness is an inside jobit’s not something that you go out and find, it’s something that you create from the inside out. How much time have you scheduled this week for things that you truly enjoy?

In preparation for the coming week, I invite you to create a “top 10 list” of things that you enjoy. It can be as simple as reading, writing, walking, spending time with others, or spending time alone. Search your heart and make the list your own.

Take Action

Create time in your day (every day) to do at least one thing that you truly enjoy.

In full disclosure, this post was inspired by my own realization that I didn’t have enough things that are special to me on my list of things to do. I love to browse bookstores, however, I have not browsed in a long time. It’s on my list of things to do this week. 🙂

Giving Thanks

I love the idea of a national day of gratitude, and for that reason, Thanksgiving has become one of my favorite holidays.

Although today is an American tradition, the essence of the day is universally relevant. Everyone has something in their life to be grateful for – friends, family, health, career, financial abundance, food, shelter, clothing, transportation, new beginnings, new experiences, life lessons – just to name a few.

Thank you for being a part of my journey and allowing me to be a part of yours.

p.s. Today is a wonderful day to commit or recommit to the life-changing practice of expressing gratitude on a daily basis. 🙂

Daily Gratitude

Gratitude is the key to creating a joy-filled and abundant life. Giving thanks for everything that has been provided to you will increase your appreciation for your life and help you cultivate a mind-set of abundance that will take root and blossom in your life.

Create a daily ritual that will enable you to express gratitude for your life. You may want to consider a daily practice of writing 3-5 things you consider gifts, blessings, or life lessons in a journal or notebook. Try to include something new each day.

Thirty-Day Challenge:

Begin and end each day in gratitude.  It will transform the way you experience your day and your life.
